Antonio Villaraigosa was elected to a second term as our mayor here in LA. This is no surprise, but it is interesting he used the word for the day from the blog in his speech. He called LA residents, “souls.”

It is good to know alcalde Villaraisgosa is reading the blog!

Behemoth

In Genesis 1:24, the King James Bible speaks of God creating “cattle and creeping things.” The word for “cattle” is the same root as the word for “Behemoth,” from Job 40. Yule log- No fireplaces allowed in new homes in LA. Lucky we have an old house with a fireplace where a yule log will be burning Christmas Eve. I’ll ride my bike to work for a couple of days to offset.
