I think this post is hysterical... and very true. I sort of think it's a good thing though that they have such a hard time removing Christ from this holiday for commercialism.

The ummm... add for male enhancement would have creeped me out too!

Thanks for posting this. Our daughters are 20 now!

And they're a lot smarter than we were at that age.

Bandura is part of a Population Media Center committee and I see that group as about as non-biased and unattached to ideology as I do the CATO Institute-not very.

I've already said Bartlett's commentary is flawed and if the equations aren't accurately predicting reality (such as slowing population growth rates in some areas) either the numbers being put into the equations are wrong or the wrong equations are being used. I think the latter is true when discussing Bartlett's talks on the exponential function.

And the concern about "peak" oil pays scant attention to the fact that the real problem related to fossil fuel use isn't that there may be shortages, it is that using them leads to promoting Global Warming.

I'm a bit tired right now, but I think I may already have something to criticize about Catton's examples and it isn't coming to mind as it is past midnight here.

All in all Malthus and Ehrlich have yet to be proven true so claims that they were simply early are still unfounded at this point.

Also I feel like I've seen this post (almost word for word) someplace else, is this a copy and paste deal? Almost like an ad.

Wow PD he is cute!
I think Kristina is right she does have the best Dad in the world! I not only say that because of arranging her date but also for all of the work you do to reach out to those in need globally.
I am one of the lucky friends who gets to share life with you!

Your point is well taken, because I do support the involvement of the faith community in helping government to solve problems in our society that affect our safety and quality of life. However, he has so many narcissistic, flawed character, and dishonesty issues, he needs to take it a step further and look to the faith community to help him be the Mayor of L.A. without being a jerk!

The interesting thing is, the mayor is looking to faith communities to help with what plagues LA, like gang violence, etc. So, though he might not be the choice for tax reasons, etc. etc.- he may support causes you support, in spite of his overall job performance.
