Vishnu- There are statues and shrines of Vishnu, supreme god of Hinduism. Jesus doesn’t come as a statue; he comes as a human infant in real history and in the lives of those who seek him.

U is for Universe
Universe- Jesus is “King of the Universe.” That is why even the “star in the east” gets involved in the story. Jesus is the ruler of all of creation.
T is for Tinsel
Tinsel- What is this anyway? Aluminum? Some other metal? Is it “green?” Do you reuse it? Having never used the stuff, I don’t know. I am not going to start now.
S is for Santa Claus
Santa- Billy Bob Thorton notwithstanding, a good model of graciousness and generosity. He can come down our chimney anytime.

Every generation is to pass on the good news of Jesus to the next. This happens most effectively with parents passing the message of hope to their children by modeling a godly life.
R is for Rest
Rest- When Jesus comes into the world people can know true rest. We are as safe as that baby sleeping in the manger because he is also the one who rules the world we might be worrying about.

We are the crown of God’s creation. We are the bane of God’s creation. To think how much he loves us, in spite of everything, who are we to argue with God?
Q is for Queen of Heaven
Queen of Heaven- Some use this title for Mary. Others are uncomfortable with this royal language. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are rulers of all that exists. Mary is a wonderful model of faith.

There is no such thing as, “the good old days.” It just depends on your perspective. What is accurate, however, is when you look to the past is to see how God was always there for you in the end.
P is for Peace
Peace- There will be no peace on earth until Jesus is trusted as the one who brings peace by everyone. Meanwhile, if you want peace you don’t imagine it; get real and seek out the Prince of Peace.
