Young Christians have it different than most of their parents, and certainly their grandparents, as following Jesus is not a cultural phenomenon. What a character building time. In a way, I have envy!

What does it mean to “fear” God? It is not being afraid because he is going to nuke you, it is being afraid to disappoint him, because you respect him so much. A healthy fear, but scary, nevertheless.

A society with this attitude for their sons and daughters will be around for a while. If children are not treasured it will fail. I guess we are more and more rebels today, even if we aren’t thanked.
