goodbye “hate”

November 10th, 2008

Just as the word “love” has lost its meaning for quite awhile, now “hate,” as well. “Hate” is used to mean, “You don’t agree with my thinking.” Do you agree with everyone about everything? No? Hater.

I love sushi! I hate eating liver! I love my wife! I hate my neighbor’s yappy chihuahuas! I guess it’s all part of our slang. We use these words loosely. How about scaling hate: on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do I hate the chihuahuas? 8! Liver? 10!

the chihuahuas are saying, “We are small; we look like rats; but we exist!”
